Returning Home Information

Sooo.... Also for me it's time for switching the language now.

It's been a bit more than one week now that I'm back in sunny Germany and yes, it's great.
Today I am sitting for the first time in my OWN room in Potsdam and it's nice to have it back again.
Just like I predicted we DO have real summer now and Berlin definitely is the place to be during this time.
I could hardly have had any better welcome than with great friends who already spent a lot of mornings, afternoons and evenings with me, a couple of beers, wine and food in parks, by the water, in various flats, on balconies or on the beach (yeees we have a beach! A poor one but a beach!). I had my haircut that I was looking forward to for MONTHS (10,50 €) and yesterday I caught one of the worst sunburns ever. Stupid me, just forgot to use sunscreen.
What should I say, it's great to have all this back again. Now I notice what was missing up there in Suomi (every day again I am so happy about our supermarkets selling cheap red wine...) and I'm starting to watch all this from another point of view (NO, not only the wine!).

Nevertheless, things are missing. Coming back into my favourite cities and letting all the new friends behind, all of you who during all this time became so close to me, just hurts.
I am missing playing frisbee in front of TTY, I am missing staying in the Juvenes as long as possible, I am missing "I'll make noise on your phone", I am missing some of the best flatmates I ever had, I am missing the last row, Mikontalo C 169/A (but definitely NOT our pets), Taps, Café Europa, the glass box where I have (believe me or not!) always felt like an intruder, sauna, Finnish language, Polish language, taking numbers, my favourite Hervanta-place including the superswings, Yo-Talo and Ruma and even the last song, DJ Cliff - emails (that was a lie... I still receive them), nights without an end and days without an end.
The list could be endless.

And I miss you who made this stay to what it was: Probably the most intensive year (like Luc said) I ever had. Certainly one of the best.
Many of you are now some of my best friends and I cannot wait to see you again as soon as possible (Paris is already booked! Yippie!). Be sure that if you are ever somewhere around you will have a shelter here. (Still, don't do it the Lukasz-way: Try to make sure that I'm here as well...)

The farewell I had from my stay was the best that I could have. Thanks to Michał, Luc, João and Denis "The Provider" for this amazing trip. This was a great time with you that could hardly have been better, and now I even own a Norwegian flag.
Iceland next time? I'll hurry up with my diploma!

About Immergut I don't have to say anything. It was just wonderful. And I hope next time we can build our own tent city with many of you!

Kiitos, nähdään i narazie! Very soon! And, as we all know (dzięki Michał): The adventure is just beginning!
